FCG has advised Mynt AB in its authorisation application as issuer of electronic money

FCG has advised the Swedish fintech company Mynt AB, in its authorisation application as issuer of electronic money according to the Swedish Electronic Money Act. Mynt is a provider of smart corporate credit cards, flexible financing and spend management that helps business customers. Mynt was granted its authorisation as an e-money institute on June 23rd 2021 by the Swedish FSA.

FCG’s assignment team consisted of, among others, Christine Ehnström (Partner and Head of GRC Advisory), Nicole Personne (Director and co-head Outsourcing) and Eric Blomdahl (Senior Associate).

“It has been a pleasure to assist Mynt in the work with their application. FCG looks forward to following the launch of new products and features – such as the prepaid card – when Mynt is now among the very few Swedish companies operating under an e-money license”, says Christine Ehnström, Partner and Head of GRC Advisory at FCG.

“We have been happy to work with FCG throughout this process. FCG’s team has been a perfect match for our needs, and with excellent competence in this space. For us it has been a learning for our organization as well to make sure we can comply with the regulatory requirements. We now look forward to continue our growth of our smart corporate credit card offering”, says Baltsar Sahlin, CEO of Mynt.
