FCG strengthens ESG offer with leading ESG expert Matthew Smith
We are delighted to announce that Matthew Smith, leading ESG expert within Financial Services in the Nordics, joins Advisense as Director and Head of Sustainable Finance in Advisense Norway.

Matthew’s core competency is in sustainable finance and regulation, and he is an expert on the EU’s Green Deal and Sustainable Finance Action Plan. He has worked with sustainability in the financial sector for almost 15 years, specifically with sustainable investments, green bonds and loans, climate risk management and sustainability strategy. He is frequently invited as an expert in webinars and podcasts and has written several articles on sustainable finance.
Matthew has 12 years’ experience in sustainable investments from the Storebrand Group, a large institutional pensions and asset management company with a Nordic presence and a strong focus on sustainability. Currently, Matthew holds the position as Director, Sustainable Finance at KPMG, where he has worked extensively with sustainability strategies and risk management in the banking sector, insurance companies and asset managers.
At FCG, Matthew will assume the role as Head of Sustainable Finance in FCG Norway, working in close collaboration with all the teams in FCG to further strengthen FCG’s ESG offer.
