FCG chairwoman Liselotte Engstam named one of 2021 Modern Governance Top 100 in the world

FCG are proud to announce that FCG chairwoman Liselotte Engstam has been recognized, by a global jury of industry experts facilitated by the SaaS Governance Risk and Compliance provider Diligent, in the annual global Modern Governance top 100 list and the ESG and Diversity Trailblazer category.

The jury recognized Ms Engstam’s outstanding commitment to enable an increase in diversity and operationalize ESG in her organizations as well as across the industry.

From the outset, FCG has strived towards its vision of a sustainable future for people, business and society through a sound financial industry. Over the last decade, Environmental, Social and Governance has become increasingly important in the financial services industry, not only to comply with the increasing regulation in the area, but as a means to promote more sustainable alternatives when for instance making investment decisions. FCG has an important part to play, supporting our clients to build governance models and risk measurement systems that take the ESG perspectives into account.

Diversity progress in the GRC field has long been at the heart of what FCG believes in and the company considers it a prerequisite to be a more innovative, dynamic and successful company. Therefore, FCG are very proud to have a champion of inclusion, diversity and sustainability at the head of the table.

Kristian Bentzer, CEO and founder, FCG: “To focus on sustainability, diversity and good corporate governance is in my opinion crucial for a company’s long-term success. As CEO of FCG, it is therefore a privilege to have such a committed person as Liselotte as Chairwoman of the Board. Having seen Liselotte in action I am not at all surprised that she received this honorable recognition.”

The Modern Governance 100 was designed to recognize influential ESG and GRC leaders for exemplifying purpose-driven transformation.  As a recipient of the ESG & Diversity Trailblazer category, the global panel of expert judges have recognized Ms Engstam’s outstanding commitment to increase diversity and operationalize ESG across her engagements. Ms Engstam’s engagements include her role as Chairwomen at the GRC leader FCG and independent directorship at listed and private companies in several countries.

Ms Engstam is also the founder of Digoshen, facilitating academic research, authoring books, and enabling board network exchanges across the globe.

Liselotte Engstam: “I’m humbled and excited about this recognition, which couldn’t have happened without all the engaged board colleagues and employees involved in the journey. We are at crossroads and need to continue raise our ambitions and clarify our purpose as businesses and as leaders to ensure the necessary value creation for all stakeholders.”

All colleagues at FCG offer our warmest congratulations to Ms Engstam.
